Real Estate Sales
The February Report was publish on February 21, 2020 for the real estate sales for the month of January 2020. The data includes the average price per square meter for listings in the Kansai region in one data set. The Kansai region includes Wakayama, Osaka, Nara, Hyogo, Kyoto, and Shiga Prefectures.
Data for Real Estate Sales will not included new construction.
The Data will be broken down into three categories:
- Condominium Sales
- House Sales
- Land Sales
Sub categories will include units sold and the number of new listings on the market.
１．Condominium Sales

January 2020: ¥362,000 per square meter a total of 1,035 units sold
January 2019: ¥346,000 per square meter a total of 1,114 units sold
Year-over-year change of 4.5% per square meter
Month-to-month change of 9.1% per square meter (December 2019 to January 2020)

January 2020: ¥382,000 per square meter a total of 5,462 units listed
January 2019: ¥352,000 per square meter a total of 4,532 units listed
Year-over-year change of 8.6% per square meter

January 2020: ¥507,000 per square meter a total of 269 units sold
January 2019: ¥480,000 per square meter a total of 283 units sold

Recap
This month we decided to add Northern Osaka (Hokusetsu Area) in our monthly report considering most of the land sold in Osaka City, being commercial land will not be registered in the Kinki Reins Database. The data Kinki Reins provides is more for residential purposes.
Northern Osaka (Hokusetsu Area) is more known for being a residential area, somewhat like a suburb to Osaka City. The zoning for majority of the land found is residential.
